My world was one of words until 2014 when I took a course in photography. Newly widowed, I needed a proper hobby and what could fit better with a passion for travel and experience of other cultures?

Way back in 1970 I was posted to Uganda as a school leaver by VSO, but political unrest had resulted in the cancellation of this opportunity. Instead I arrived in 2015!

So, together photography and Uganda have provided new meaning in retirement. Hobby aside, I engage in teacher education, working alongside Ugandans to promote societal change.
